In Nea Hili (near our apartments):
"Thea Thalassa" is a very good restaurant, beach bar, and sushi bar in the evening, located right by the sea.
 
"Pizza Milano" is a great choice for Italian dishes.

"Crepato" offers excellent crepes and burgers.
 
You can also find great traditional dishes, souvlaki, and pastries in the same building as our apartments and around the neighborhood.

In Alexandroupolis Center:
"Masa Soura" and "Nisiotiko" are excellent seafood choices along the Alexandroupolis coastal road.
 
"Tamam" is a great place for traditional Greek dishes and meat.
 
"Omen" and "Kelari Pro" offer fine dining experiences with great wine pairings.
 
"Kerouac" is a cozy spot for delicious brunch, food, and coffee.
 
"Umami" serves excellent homemade pasta.
 
"Mama's" offers tasty burgers and bao buns.

"Pinocchio" is the go-to place for candies and ice cream.

In Makri Village:
"Ai Giorgis" is a perfect choice for fine dining with a stunning view of the Aegean Sea.

In Dikella Village:
"Almira" is a lovely restaurant with excellent seafood options.

In the summer months, part of the road is closed to cars, transforming into a vibrant pedestrian zone with cafés, restaurants, and a buzzing local atmosphere.

Beaches (June - September)
Nearby Beaches (Nea Hili area):
 The beach near our apartments features two organized beach bars: Thea Thalassa and Janeiro.
The beach is organized but not as sandy as others in the area. At Thea Thalassa, a minimum consumption is required for certain seating options, so it’s a good idea to ask in advance.


Closer to Alexandroupolis Center (2.5 km):
The beaches become sandier as you head towards the city center.
Harama is a great choice with a beach bar and restaurant in a pleasant setting.


Agia Paraskevi Beach (10 km):
This area features a long, sandy coastline with many beach bars, ideal for families and visitors of all ages.


Ai Giorgis Beach Bar (near Makri):
Located just below the Ai Giorgis tavern, this beach bar offers a quiet and private setting with large pillows and a relaxed atmosphere. A minimum consumption applies here as well.


Dikella Beach (13 km):
Dikella has a spacious beach area, mainly with pebbles, and a wide selection of beach bars catering to different preferences.

 A protected natural reserve, perfect for birdwatching—especially rare birds of prey like vultures and eagles.
The area features eco-tourism trails and an information center to enhance your visit.

 One of Europe’s most important wetlands and a paradise for nature and wildlife lovers.
Guided boat tours are available, offering the chance to observe rare bird species and the unique ecosystem up close.


Samothrace Island (accessible by ferry from Alexandroupolis port – 2-hour ride)
